Activating your BullGuard subscription

You may experience that your BullGuard continues to state that you have a trial, even though you have just purchased a subscription. Or that your subscription is still expired, even though you just renewed it.

This is caused by the fact that your account-status is stored on our online server, and your local copy of BullGuard has to check this server, before it can know that your status has changed. Normally, BullGuard checks this status every time you start your computer, but if you are not connected to the internet through a DSL connection, or if your DSL connection is not active when BullGuard launches, this may cause the above problem.

You have now 3 easy ways of fixing this.

Note: This guide is for BullGuard v8.5 and v8.7.

1- button If you have bought BullGuard in a store, click here to activate your BullGuard subscription.

2- button If you have just purchased an activation code from our website, please do the following:

First, connect to the Internet and double-click the BullGuard icon in your System tray (bottom-right corner, next to the clock):

1 - systray

Just after this, go to the Main section of BullGuard, choose Account from the upper menu and click the Enter License-key button.

enterlicensekey

3 - button

If you have renewed your account from our website, you can use your BullGuard to activate your subscription.

This is also very easy: all you need to do is to follow these next few steps.

First, connect to the Internet and double-click the BullGuard icon in your System tray (bottom-right corner, next to the clock):

1 - systray

Just after this, go to the Main section of BullGuard, choose Account from the upper menu and click the Check status button.

2

BullGuard will now check our servers for the new status of your account and you will see that it changes from "Free trial" to "Paid subscription".

3

If this does not work, you may have accidentally purchased BullGuard under a different or misspelled username (email address) than the one you are currently using.

If this is the case, please check the confirmation email sent to you after the purchase and find your username there. Then click the Change user link:

4

You can then enter your new username and password and login:

8.0_login

Remember, your BullGuard username is your email address.

If you have forgotten your password, you can ask for a new one here: Get a new password

Now BullGuard connects to our server and checks your account. It will start running like you have a paid subscription instead of a trial one.
