Hi, I have been searching to use the "right" anti-spyware/greyware/malware application to get rid of the possible "Vundo.F" malware that has affected my browser program. I have used a variety from several websites and took careful steps in following the instructions but none seem to remove it. The latest tools used were: virtumundobegone v1.5 and VundoFix 7.0. I even ran other tools like Spyware Doctor, web-based OfficeScan (corporate version + and has all the updates), SmitFraud that can't find it. I don't remember which tool did find the Threat info but now I just ran AdwareAlert 2008 and this product found several entries: Zillabar, Delf, and an email worm: VB. I don't want to buy something if I don't need to. Attached is my hijackthis log for your reference.

rolleyes

The Issue:
IE v6.0 opens to the current webpage, but when you attempt to type in such as: microsoft, yahoo, google urls or whatever the program basically says: "Application not Found." OK -- twice. The only way I can actually get to a different webpage is to go under Tools: Internet Options: type in a different webpage, apply and close IE and then re-open IE. Then I can get to that particular webpage and sometimes within that webpage, when I click on a link, it displays the error message.

I am at the point in re-imaging the machine and starting over.
