father in laws' computer has virus/spyware on it and finds the following from symantec scan; trojan; Vundo in c:\windows\system32\vtUkjIaa.dll. it will not clean, quarantine or delete. I have run in safe mode and even tried to delete thru DOS, but no luck. If I do try to run in normal mode, forget it.......it takes hours to load or it locks up completely.
I wanted to run kaspersky, but can't in normal mode and it will not run in safe mode. And I wanted to remove symantec completely, but trying to do so thru add/remove, it does not show up in the population, and symantec tech support was , at best, useless. I did run remove norton anti virus, but there again, it calls for you to remove thru add/remove programs and it is not there.
any help, comments and recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Kindly do not annotate or format the log with color or font changes.
NB. If you are using any P2P (file sharing) programs, please remove them before we clean your computer.. We do not clean logs that have P2P applications installed as this can cause reinfection during your cleaning.
