No need for that damsel,

A prince charming to the rescue!:p all you need to do is turn off system restore and do adisk clean and remove all restore points then do a cold boot, by that I mean shut the machine off, wait a couple secs 10 to 15 and turn it back on. If your not sure how to do that , here's the instructions go to your control panel, click on performance and maintenance, basic information on your computer, system restore tab, put a check in the box that says shut off system restore, click apply and ok. then do s disk clean and under the more options tab click remove all restore points, click ok for the rest of the things it wants to do. one other thing download ad-aware 6 and scan for spyware sounds a little like you might be loaded with it.

No that sounds like a configuration problem, could you give me the tech specs on your machine ? you know processor, operating system, ram, etc.etc. that way I might be able to walk you thru a config change. Also let me know what browser you running IE, netscape mozilla. also if you right click on the red x highlight show picture it should show it.

P.S. It sounds like you might have parental control or firewall settings to high as well

everything seems fine, except that maybe your Internet explorer might be corrupted, how that may have happened is anyones guess. I would say call AOL and have them walk you thru a config check and possibly a uninstall and reinstall of IE. Internet explorer can be configured to there browser and I don't have acess to that info. But I would get some spyware remover because AOL just like Internet explorer attracts things like that. Oh and it's no problem helping if I can that's what this forum is for. And Damsel the reason I say all this is I presumed you were trying to show me a pic of some sort, this forum does not support HTML graphics or at least my browser does'nt but ther could be a problem there.

Good luck and keep me posted.

As far as system restore goes you can if you want to but you don't have to.
