These past 2 days or so, I have been getting an error on my laptop, when opening .exe files (for example: winrar, online games, etc.) that says:

filename (example: C:\Program Files\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe)

The parameter is incorrect.

This started ever since I have a virus called win32 hidrag on my comp. Im not vey sure if i have gotten rid of it yet (going to scan very soon, does anybody know a free scanner that is good for catching win32 infections?). This virus infects .exe files, I have heard. So, i was wondering if it could have anything to do with me getting the error above?

Help would be appreciated.

After You have run the scan tools -

Reboot normally

Post Hijackthis log along with SuperAntiSpyware log, , C: combofix TXT in this topic

Please copy and paste your log. DO NOT add it as an attachment

Kindly do not annotate or format the log with color or font changes.

NB. If you are using any P2P (file sharing) programs, please remove them before we clean your computer.. We do not clean logs that have P2P applications installed as this can cause reinfection during your cleaning.

Do NOT post your problem in someone elses thread.
