I really don't know what I am talking about here so please bare with me.

I have two trojans on my computer. One is Backdoor.Ruledor.d and the other is Backdoor.agent. I have the resotre disabled also. I found the files, went in to delete them out of my temp file, and still it tells me that they are in use and I can't. I have downloaded this Bullguard and plan letting my hubby try it tonight. We have put Adaware build 181 and cwshredder on it now. Between those two it got rid of alot of trash. But those are the only 2 remaining.

any advice would be great.

well that adware thing could make all the diffrence but y would those files still be in use

I don't know. I have been trying to figure that out for about a week now. AVG doesnt even help get rid of it.

Ok Bamaredhead,
2 things first either disable AVG or uninstall it , and if your running win 98 be very careful it sometimes makes the 98 machines go bug nuts Don't ask why have'nt a clue. second if you or your husband are at all fmiliar with the regedit you can go in and delete them. before you disabled the restore did you do a disk clean and remove all restore points. that could be what's using it. viruses tend to write themeselves in the recovery program just to be annoying.
