have XP and when I try to use Regedit And Task Manager, I get, "Disabled by your administrator" error. I've tried everything and nothing fixes this. I've tried the reg fixes on the net for both, and it just reverts back.

Also, folder options keeps hiding all files. If I check the box to "show all files", when I come back, it's unchecked!

The above is on my desktop pc, but now my laptop is doing the same thing. I had to pull a file over to my laptop on my home network, and now the laptop is the same way. Please help. I've posted hijack this logs on other sites, but these problems won't go away.

Other notes... After this happened, my symantec antivirus won't load on either the laptop or the desktop pc.

Here is a hijackthis log from the latop:

Jason b,

Try this!!!
From the start tab click Run then type gpedit.msc
That will open your Group policy config. then click USER CONFIG then SYSTEM then CTRL+ALT+DEL OPTIONS then disable REMOVE TASK MANAGER.

Hope that will solve your problem man.
