I've had a PC for over a year now, and it's never been connected to the internet - directly. However, from time to time, I download files from the internet in Internet Cafes, tansfer the files onto say, a CDRW, and put them on my PC. I bought Bullguar a couple of days ago, but it tells me I need to be connected to the net to register.
Thank you, Alin. I guess I'll have to go back to the shop and try to get a refund. My PC is probably exposed to a low level of risk while it's bundled antivirus is out-of-date, so I'll look around for something that's suitable for my situation.
Maybe some free software like AVG wouldn't require registration? There's got to be something out there for protecting standalone PCs. Not every PC is connected to the 'net.
