I am getting continuous traffic notifications saying "The application "SYSTEM" was automatically allowed to use the network" whenever I am on line. This is getting extremely annoying, especially since the Bullguard log says the application is set to Remember.

How can I suppress these annoying notifications?

I am getting the exact same problem and it is driving me nuts.

No idea how to stop it as application is set to remember and Bullgard and AVG report no malware etc.

Can anyone help?

1. Open BullGuard and go to the Firewall section > Overview tab.
2. Make sure there is no check mark in the box next to the “Block entire traffic (Panic switch)” option.
3. Select the Advanced user level and go to the Profiles tab.
4. Make sure the “Custom Security” profile is active and then double-click it.
5. Select the Application Rules tab from the window that appears and allow Internet access for all your legitimate programs.
6. Click OK in order to confirm the changes and close BullGuard’s console.

See if it help

I too have these anyoning popups and I do have a mac running leopard.
The mac can no longer print to my PC printer and can no longer see the shared PC drive.

What can I change to fix this?

i haven;t found a way to change this... i think you need to download 3rd party software to shut off the sharing functions on your mac.

Hello,

This is actually a known issue that will be fixed along with a future core update.

In the meantime, you can turn off firewall notifications, as a temporary workaround. Here is what needs to be done exactly:

1. Open BullGuard.
2. Go to the Firewall - Overview tab and set the userlevel to Advanced.
3. In the following window, go to the Profiles tab and double click on Custom Security.
4. Then, Go to the Notifications tab.
5. Once there, untick the "Display a security notification" box in the "When a security event occurs" section.
6. When back to the Profiles tab, highlight Custom Security and press Activate.

Thank you for your understanding.
