Hello, i use Bullguard 7.0 I downloaded the PCFlankLeakTest http://www.pcflank.com/pcflankleaktest.htm and it tells me: Your Firewall Has Failed The Test.. What this test dose is,
1st - it opens Internet Explorer to see if a firewall message will pop up to say that a application is trying to open internet explorer Bullguard Failed to show any message
2nd - it asks you to enter some text in a textbox and click next to see if it can send this data to its servers using Internet Explorer Again Bullguard failed to stop or warn me about anything when i entered text and clicked next...i could view the text i typed on their website, and yes all the text i typed showed on the website, so BUllguard did not stop this.
This Is a problem and has make me think about getting a new firewall... Dose anyone know if i can edit the bullguard settings or anything to be able to pass this test?
using other leak test programs like AWFT and LeakTest give me a pass on all test's... in some of the test from these 2 testers i see the application hijacking warning message from bullguard, so i know bullguard is doing its job on those... so why dont it detect PCFlankLeakTest hijacking Internet Explorer and sending data to the internet using explorer?
I tried BG 7.0,and it also failed the test at "Shields Up". I asked live support for assisance with settings, but was told to "let BG support team know"! They obviously staff "live" support with people who don't know what they are doing. I have gone back to BG 6.1 (which passes the leak tests)
