Hello.

I have BG V6.1 and it is driving me NUTS to see all those pop up windows about this and that attack or attack attempt being avoided. Excuse me, but that is exactly what I expect from the product - to protect me! It is EXTREMELY annoying with these pop up windows. Especially while typing in, say, Word. Word loses focus because of BG popping up and I find my self typing while BG pop up window has focus.

Please tell me how to avoid those VERY VERY annoying pop ups!

If you want to stop the notifications from showing, you can switch them off if you want. To do this

Open Bullguard.
Select Firewall on left hand side.
Select Advanced level (under Overview tab)
Select Profiles tab, then double click on Custom Security.
Select Notifications tab.
Look near the bottom for When a security event occurs...
Uncheck the box for Display a security notification.
Click on OK at the bottom to confirm.

It is up to you if you want to turn them off, but you may miss something important one day.

However, I dont see what kind of important messages that could be?

I was thinking of something like a hacker repeatedly attacking your machine rather than the random port scans which a lot of people find just an annoyance. I think I would want to know about it if someone was deliberately targeting my machine. You can set up permanent bans for persistent attackers, if you know about them.
