Over the past hour I have the message pop up twice that another computer complete with the IP number from  a Mac has been 'Temporarily' prevented from accessing my computer freaked
 
Does this mean that it has been allowed access or not ???.
 
When I had Norton a message would sometimes pop up that a remote computer had been DENIED access, this is most worrying and I am beginning to regret installing Bullguard and instead forked out a few more quid for Norton shakehead

This sounds like a standard Port Scan message which seem to worry/annoy users more than they reassure. It is saying that a port scan has been detected and a ban imposed for a default time. If you use the firewall in advanced mode you can get more control over the settings and messages relating to port scans, also try looking back through this forum because this topic comes up a lot. One tip would be to increase the time banned to something much greater than the default time.
