Hey guys and gals, I thought I would ask you your advise?
I've been using Bullguard for over a year and I'm generally happy, but as I haven't used an antivirus package other than bullguard before I don't really know how it compares. I know it generally seems to consume less system resources than programmes like McAfee and the dreaded Norton but what is it's stopping power like compared to say NOD32 or such?? any thoughts? I'm interested to hear some candid opinions.
i have been using for nearly 3 years now and so far is the most reliable i have tried as in it blocks well, removes infections well and has good support, the only thing i would like to see added is parental control
I have tried most of the Security Suites over the years, and believe me, Bullguard is topdog. The protection level is very good, and when I e-mailed the company with a small problem with my suscription they answered back within ten minutes, which resolved the situation. Now that to me is what I call good service. The software is also very light on system resources.
I wish that I could agree with you all, last week I had serious viruses which Bullguard did nothing to prevent and could not remove telling me to remove them manually asking me to carry out tasks which for a computer !!!!! like me was very difficult, Virus protection is like insurance you don't know how good it is untill you have a claim I am very disapointed with Bullguard having taken my computer to a repair shop at acost of £40 to remove the virus, when I raised the matter with Bullguard asking for a refund of my outstanding subscription the lady said that they could have dealt with my problem using remote access but they never offered me that option.

You must understand something David. When you open the BullGuard application, you see very clear a plugin named Support. From there you can start a chat with a BullGuard Supporter. On that chat window, you will see a BIG and grey button named.....REMOTE ACCESS. Hmmm, have you wondered what this button do ? Come on David, the BullGuard Support is free and is the best on the market. Do you know how it Norton charges for a remote assistance session ? 100 $
