Hi guys..

Working on my computer today and suddenly I recieved a message from Bullguard telling me that it had detected a 'denial of service' attack (I'm using version 7)

This is a first for me, my PC is clean (as far as I know) showing no signs of viruses or malware.

I checked the firewall log and have noticed many, many entries relating to the attack similar to this:

12:13:52 - Single scan from a remote host detected: TCP 217.132.65.106:4662, Registered packets: 1, Packet Weight: 1, Total attacker weight: 1. {2}

Can anyone enlighten me as to whether this is a random attack and my paranoia is getting the better of me or could there be something lurking on my machine that may need further investigation.

Thanks in anticipation of your help guys..

Liam :)

Liam,

I too have the same problems as you have with BG7 and after investigating found that it was stopping legitamate communications I'll send you a personal email with the details that I provided to the folk at Bullguard. You are not alone!
I have found the staff at support very helpful but unless they are aware of problems they can't fix it.
