I have been having trouble sending e-mails with attachments, and also downloading pdf files and my ISP has suggested I disable my anti-virus and firewall software to see if that helps.  I don't know how to do this.  I am using Bullguard version 7 and AVG Free Edition.  Can anyone tell me or suggest any other ways of solving the problem?

IF - AVG Free Edition - is Antivirus,  I recommend You uninstall it from add remove programs in controlpanel
 
 
Reboot and tell if it help ?

If i am correct using more than one prog for antivirus etc can cause conflicts between the 2 and therefore probs i am now using Bullguard v8 only for my protection and up to now all seems ok
