Aenchoic are a Indie pop group.

Bullguard shut down access to our webshop, it was unintentional but damaging. They have apologised. The CTO has given me permission to use this statement to any anechoic fans

" The Anechoic website and shop is safe to use

In the period July 11th to July 14th 2006, users of BullGuard Internet Security experienced that access to www.anechoicshop.co.uk and www.anechoic.co.uk was blocked. The block was followed by a message from BullGuard Internet Security to the user, stating that the website the user tried to access had been identified as malicious. This message was however not correct, and BullGuard apologizes to both Anechoic and their fans for this incorrect labeling of the websites.

The block was caused by the anti-phishing capabilities in BullGuard Internet Security. In the said period a malicious phishing-site was indeed hosted on the same server as www.anechoicshop.co.uk and www.anechoic.co.uk. Since BullGuard Internet Security blocks access on an IP-level, not website-level, access to all websites on the server was blocked. The phishing-site was removed by the responsible ISP on July 14th and the block in BullGuard was thus lifted.

The policy of blocking on an IP-level will be upheld, as the security of our users is our main concern. But the wording in the message connected to this is clearly incorrect, and will be changed as soon as possible in BullGuard Internet Security.

Anechoic had nothing to do with the phishing-site whatsoever, and labeling their websites as malicious was a mistake on our part. We apologize deeply, and hope that all involved will understand that the security of our users comes first.

Kind regard

Theis Søndergaard

CTO, Co-founder, BullGuard Ltd.

I have used bullguard antivirus software for two years and can regard it as the best available.
This is not an advertisment but an honest statement from a client who has benefited from the vigilence of the bullguard team.

They messed up a little recently with the anechoic site but it was for the right reasons. I think they have learned a lesson and perhaps a few bottoms have been kicked over it.

Phishing is bad, anechoic are good and so is bullguard CTO in the way he sorted it one , one to one. apparently he is a good poker player.:p
try www.anechoic.co.uk or www.myspace/anechoicuk  for a free download of music from an emerging and totally different indie pop group.
