It does that too on my games, and it is very annoing when you are driving a simulator racing game and it minimize it self suddenly and offcause the car will end up in the gravel or worse, in the barrier and smoke coming out of the engine.
If that problem isént solved by BullGuard soon, I´ll get another virusprogram and will not speak nicely about BG..Hope that anyone has solved the problem without to have disable BG when I´m on the internet and driving multiplayer.
Sorry for my negative answer, but my patience isént that big anymore.
I have the same problem. I have tried to set Bullguard to download updates w/o using the baloon tip showing after the update with no differences. I have seen this is these games:
rFactor in multiplayer
Civilization IV in multiplayer
F.E.A.R. Single player
I'm on the beta test team, but hasn't installed the latest beta on my gaming rig. Its running version 6.0.
If it is the Port Scan alert messages that are causing games to be minimised, users should be aware that they can switch off these alerts if they wish. To do this
Select Firewall, then Advanced mode.
Double click on Custom Security (under Profiles tab)
Select Notifications.
Under "when a security event occurs" - uncheck the box for "display a security notification.
Click OK to confirm.
This is preferable to switching off the firewall altogether, but users may wish to turn the alerts back on for greater security when not playing games.
No, I'm not seeing any popups from Bullguard. But my tests has showed that is has to be Bullguard. I have deactivated all other software and only left bullguard running. But somehow it forces itself to the foreground....
I just saw at my x-wife pc, an option in Avast, that could be checked to ensure that Avast repsected a full screen application like a game.
I too have this problem. I wasn't sure whats causing it until it came here.
I installed bullguard 7.0 but the spamfilter stopped working (after downloading the updated plugin when bullguard 7.0 was installed and ran the updater, it worked before that update but not afterwards anymore) So i went back to bullguard 6.1. From then on it started minimizing my wow game sometimes and this is quite annoying i hope this will be adressed as soon as possible (and the spamfilter problem with 7.0 as well).
i have no clue what's causing it cause i don't see any popup messages appearing from bullguard (it does it also when u updated wow but then there's a messagebox asking if it may stil connect or not and it's normal then but it aint with no messages). Maybe the main window is getting focused again somehow.
I was having a similar thing happening whilst playing Ultima Online, in that the game window would suddenly be "pushed to the back" for no apparent reason. I went looking for some reason why this might happen, and noticed that the "Enable Bullguard News" setting, under "General Settings", was ticked, but I'd never seen any news of any kind. I unchecked the box, and have had no such problems since.
Don't know if that helps, but if it does, then I'm glad to have been of service.
BullGuard has developed the application SteelSecurity in cooperation with SteelSeries. This is essentially BullGuard for gamers. I will advice all of you to switch to this application to solve the problem. In order to use the program, however, you have contact BullGuard Support. We will then add the gaming plugin to your current subscription free of charge.
You can find information about the application here:
I'm bumping this, cus i'm still having this problem, but its not games, anything full screened i.e. Media player. C'mon bullguard, sort it out. This cant be necessary surely!
