Since installing Bullguard I have had problems with the computer sometimes freezing for upwards of five minutes when I open certain programs and when I download files. In the case of a download all is OK up to 99% at which point the download halts for six or seven minutes. I investigated with Process Explorer and this shows that one instance of svchost.exe is running at or near 100% of processor time. When I look at the properties of this instance it shows that it deals with just four services, all of which are Bullguard services. Any ideas, please? If I can't get rid of this problem I will have to get rid of Bullguard, which I don't want to do.

I've got the same problem running with Bullguard V8 with Vista Home Premium. I recently applied SP1 to the OS hoping that this would help but see no difference. I've got to agree with KSS, if I can't find a solution to the problem then it looks like back to Norton!

I solved a similar problem by re-installing Bullguard.
