I installed the full version of bull guard a couple days ago, and noticed immediately i was no longer able to pull down email from my yahoo pop3 account, it just hangs trying to connect, if i disable all bull guard antivirus, firwall, spam filter, then it works again, but im still able to pull down aol imap accounts. any idea's on why or how to fix this issue without leaving all that stuff disabled?
Well I can't get to my IMAP mail it just hangs (mozilla thunderbird), only thing that makes it work is to kill Bullguard, not even dissabling the antivirus, firewall or spam filter help, and a complete shutdown of Bullguard. on another computer I'm running IMAP mail account on Outlook Express and this has the same problem, but works most of the time if I disables the Bullguard firewall.
And the only answer Bullguard support has to this problem is that bullguard can not work correct with my router hardware firewall running on my local network. I must admit I have not be bother to try out if this will fix the problem, since I don't see how I can make every single system admin kill there firewall and all the networks I connect to. To me this is a redicules solution. hope they will come of with a decent one soon.
But I don't know if its the same problem you have, just seems very likely.
