A client of mine is running Bullguard 6.1 on Windows 2000 SP4. Generally everything is fine, however, when they run a virus scan on My Computer, Bullguard shuts itself down and requests that an error report be sent to Bullguard. It scans My Documents OK, so it would seem to be a problem when scanning a memory resident program.
 
Has anyone else come accross this problem, and if so, is there a solution?

You should be able to check the log produced by the scan and look for any sign or report as to why it did not complete. To do this
  1. Open Bullguard - select Antivirus, then select Scan tab
  2. Select My Computer, then View Log
  3. Click on View Log on the next screen
Look for any report indicating a reason for the scan not completing.
I have never had a problem such as you describe, and feel you really need to contact Bullguard Support to sort this out.
