I installed Bullguard about 3 weeks ago and since then my mail (Windows mail and Vista) have behaved strangely. About 3/4 of my mails arrive blank (no subject, no sender, no nothing). When I check via my webmail, I can see all the mails. Strangely, I cant see any pattern in which mails doesn't go through. Today, for instance I received 7 mails from the same sender. Almost identical subjects, but 4 of them got through as normal mails, but 3 of them were blank. Support is trying to hep, but as of now dont have a solution.
Have anybody else experienced this and if so, what is a possible solution?
Yes they do. And the mails are not (as I can see it) infected. I get the blank mails and they correspond to a message that I can see via my webmail. I have tried to disconnect Bullguard and re-send the mails to myself (from my webmail) the same mails (that were blank) now goes to my normal mailbox with no problems. So it seems as though there is a glitch in Bullguard, that for some reason filters most of the mails I receive.
In order to document the problem you have encountered I must kindly ask you to follow this troubleshoting guide and inform me of the results:
1. Open the BullGuard program > the Antivirus menu > the Protection tab. Uncheck the "Enable incoming email monitoring" and "Enable outgoing email monitoring" options. Try to access your emails and tell me if the problem persists.
2. If it does please check these options back on and go to the Firewall menu > the Overview tab and press the "Turn it off" button. Tell me if the issue persists with the Firewall off.
3. Afterwards please turn the Firewall back on and go to the Spamfilter menu > the Overview tab and press the "Turn it off" button. Tell me if you can receive your emails normally when only the Spamfilter is turned off.
Also please provide me with the following details:
>>1. What version of BullGuard are you using (to find out please scroll over the BullGuard icon with your mouse)?
>>2. What version of Windows do you have installed: XP or Vista?
Note: if you use Windows Vista please go to Start > Welcome Center > click "More details"> System tab > System type and tell me if you use the 32x or the 64 version of Windows Vista.
I am looking forward to your reply. We will offer further instructions from there.

Tried this and tried to send of one of the mails that got to my mailbox as blank. And it went through as it should. So no problem when these two are unchecked.

At the moment the problem you had encountered is a known issue that we are currently investigating.
As a workaround I must kindly ask you leave the "Enable incoming email monitoring" and "Enable outgoing email monitoring" options unchecked for the moment. This does not lower your protection as the OnAccess engine of BullGuard is enabled (due to the "Enable real-time file monitoring" option) and if any infected emails reach your Inbox, they will be stopped when you try to access them.
Thanks a lot for the answer. Off course it is not the optimal solution, but I understand that you are working on the problem. So as long as I am not open for virus I am happy
I have encountered the same problem as Amir Kenneth Eid. I also get blank e-mails, even when I receive mails without virusses from trusted senders. I can't discover a pattern either. I use the Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit system.
There are some differences between Amirs problem and mine. First of all, Bullguard has been installed on my computer for months and the problem started occuring only yesterday. Second, I use Bullguard version 7.1.
Before the problem occured, Bullguard automatically transferred infected e-mails or spam to my deleted items folder. Now e-mails are redirected to both my spam e-mail folder and my deleted items. Sometimes those e-mails appear with visible sender, subject and message (in which case they always are spam e-mails or infected e-mails), sometimes they appear blank.
I haven't got a clue what could have initiated my problem. As I said, Bullguard had been installed on my computer for months when the error started occuring. I've checked my Computer Manager, but could not find any event that occured together with the start of the symptoms.
For now, unchecking the "Enable incoming email monitoring" and "Enable outgoing email monitoring" options helps, but I'd like to be able to enjoy full Bullguard-protection :) Is there any new information on this problem (and maybe a full solution)?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
With kind regards,
FranciscusJ
