Yeah lots have. Best thing you can do is buy Mcafee...and place Bullguard where it belongs..in the BIN.

Hi, first it is always possible that something go wrong after a update of windows vista sp1 I can understand that BUT if so why don't Bullguard send a email to its customers to tell about it, now we know nothing thinking something happens with the machine or having a virus or trojan
No Bullguiard tell nothing and close the forum, I hope in the future they will send an email to its customers.

Hi guys,

thanks for the input and suggestions on where to place BullGuard ;-)

If any of you are experiencing problems with updates to BullGuard, please don't hesitate to contact our 24/ free Support, just like Mazo did! The problem he describes is not a general problem happening to all BullGuard customers, but it is a problem we've seen before, and we're trying to pinpoint exactly why it happens when it does.

And for Mazo: If you're running Vista, the file you need to remove is probably located here: C:\ProgramData\BullGuard\LiveUpdate\Flags.

I thank you for sending me a PM and offering to speak to me on the phone. I decline your offer as I have since migrated to Mcafee.

I spent a very very long night trying to sort out the problems YOUR software caused me. I was far from impressed.

The fact is you should have reacted far quicker to warn your customers of this issue...but you didn't. You caused a LOT of worry and concern by your non activity. "People" have long memories and will not forget what you have caused. For this reason many members, similar to myself, will leave your product and go elsewhere.

"People" purchase net security software for one reason..to stay protected online. In my opinion I would be taking a big gamble staying with your software...and I am not a gambling man.

You need to learn some serious lessons from this episode and take all possible steps to avoid a similar situation in the future.

Time will tell if you can regain your credibility in the eyes of your customers.

Hi brain999

I totally endorse what you say. I believe BG have a serious problem with Vista users and have been less than honest in informing them exactly what the problem is and what they are doing about it. It is not good enough to expect users to uninstall SP1 and then re-install it "to see if this solves the problem"

Thoroughly agree - I think they should come forward and inform what the problem is - providing they know themselves - (see my Antivirus problems) posting - I have Vista and the thing keeps failing to send me updates which then causes the security centre to state Antivirus switched off - I then have to uninstall and reinstall the product to get it working again - if this continues will switch provider dont care how much money i loseconfused
