I have just got a new laptop with Bullguard on it, however it keeps telling me that programs that I know are safe are infected when I try to install them. In the help sidebar it mentions that I can tell bullguard to ignore them but cannot find ay setting to allow this. Fortunately, I am not online yet so I can install and run those programs it blocks by disabling BG. However, if I can't solve this without wasting any more time I will simply remove BG and not bother with it any more and buy my usual favorite AV/Firewall combo of AVG and Jetico instead.
Thanks, but I removed Bullguard a long time from my system as I found it basically rubbish, constantly giving me false positives on known safe items etc. etc. as well as constant reminders to register while I was still deciding if I wanted to keep it. I got so fed up with evrything that I decided against it and fell back to my usual of Jetico for a firewall and PrevX1 for ID with AVG for the very occasional on demand manual scan just for the practice :) The one thing I do commend BG on, especially compared to c##p like Norton, is that the normal uninstall does actually remove everything of importance.
