Check the documentation that came with your computer. If Bullguard was preinstalled, the manufacturer should have provided some kind of restore facility. What make is it? My computer came with a restore program which allows me to uninstall/reinstall any of the preinstalled programs. Perhaps yours has a similar feature.

This is a known problem with versions 5 and 6.x when using account switching, i.e. the firewall plugin will only work correctly after a reboot and not after the machine is woken from standbye mode, and has been the topic of discussion between myself and BG tech support for many weeks now.  In some ways, I'm actually glad that I'm not the only one who is suffering with it.

I am told that the devs at Bullguard are working on a fix, just make sure that your (inferior but still usable) windows XP built-in firewall is on in the background (it won't conflict with Bullguard)

I have decided to renew my subscription with BG for another two years even though this is the case, even if only for the second to none tech support I have received with this problem.  I'm also told that BG version 7 will be out october 2006 as well... can't wait!!
