I have been recently attacked with a keylogger called "infostealer". I scanned with Norton and quaruntined it and I had moved all my media (Pictures, Music etc) onto 2 DVD-RW discs and a 4 GB USB Flash-Drive.
I still didn't want to take any chances and I reformatted my hard-drive after. It was like out of the box and I had to set up all my settings again (computer name etc) so I know the keylogger was gone for sure. I put my media onto the reformatted hard-drive after. I was being paranoid and I thought the keylogger might somehow have gotten onto the DVD-RW's or the flash drive so I scanned with Norton and various other anti-spyware but infostealer didn't come up. Is there any definite way to know if infostealer is still on my computer or not? As I'm getting really anxious trying to find out whether if it is or not.
Also would it have been possible for the infostealer to get on my dad's laptop? Our laptops have had NO connections between them at all except for the wireless network we use together.
