Evening all,

I checked the other hijacked threads and didn't see this one listed.

Recently had my homepage hijacked to home:about (that's it, no http, no www, etc) and have tried to reset it to prior site in i.e. tools (v.6) which it allows me yet every rebook it goes back to about:home and I do it again, same result. Can anyone make any suggestions? It had made the use current button grey out (unuseable) for awhile but that option/button has returned to useable. Any assistance would be appreicated.

Cheers

Peter

Firstly, about:blank is not a hijack so you probably wont have a evil program doing this. Do you run any spyware killers because they might have done this to protect it from getting hijacked

:-) good call destroyer,

try ad awre 6 from lavasoft it's free and it updates, and as a extra bonus it will delete the spyware as well.

 don't worry about proper,:p
What OS are you running and what AV software have you got installed.
Because it's either a virus or a configuration error. If your OS has a recovery program, turn it off. viruses tend to write themselves in there so when you reboot they get reinstalled. have you tried using bullguard yet? do a scan send your vscan logs to support@bullguard.com they might be the best help you can get. Good luck and I hope you find out what's wrong.
