Hi all, im new to all this so, sorry if i appear a bit thick! My problem is, AVG has detected a virus on my computer called "startup" it is located in C:\windows\update13.js But AVG can not delete this virus. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My hijackthis log is as follows.

Scan with Hijacktis, close all other windows, put a checkmark to these, and fix:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {A78860C8-EE1A-46DF-A97F-E3E6D433E80B} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\6wqqo.dll

Disable System Restore

http://vil.nai.com/vil/SystemHelpDocs/DisableSysRestore.htm

Run this scanner – mwav exe : http://home9.inet.tele.dk/le01/Sikkerhed.htm
Activate all, in settings- Scan.

Reboot-enable system restore

Don´t post more logs. Just tell how it goes ;-)

Still same as before AVG says virus found Startpage, virus in C:\windows\update13.js shakehead

Thanks for trying Touch but, virus scanners can see virus but can not remove it. shakehead

Would it do any harm if it was left on my system? freaked

Try delete it with Dr. Delete: http://www.docsdownloads.com/Tier1/dr-delete.htm
